Legalization of Marijuana in Canada: What you need to know

The legalization of marijuana for recreational use is coming with federal legislation expected to be introduced in the spring of 2017.

Based on the US experience, there a number of critical policy and governance implications that will need to be discussed between all levels of government, industry and the public.

The Institute on Governance (IOG) in partnership with the Canadian Association for Responsible Legalization (CARL) want to ensure that Canada is prepared for this historical move.

The journey towards legalization in Canada begins December 13 with an information webinar that that will include lessons learned from the US and other jurisdictions in addition to how legalization issues are being shaped by social media.
